We hope that you are staying active during this Stay At Home order. Bob has been busy working on some projects and wishes to share a few thoughts as he works through some of the difficulties in creating his painting projects. Some of you may recognize that he loves to work in oil and for many this process is tedious. The process of starting a project is one which requires research. The internet is a handy tool as well as a large collection of books about Art and different artists. This is where the process begins after identifying the size of the painting and what medium or media will be used. For centuries artists used sketching as a process to work out the subject matter. This is simply to get a feel for the subject before painting. Bob prefers to sketch free hand, although some artists prefer to use guidelines drawn on the sketch to determine perspective.
